I don’t really have the answer to this…I do have a crap load of pictures (of course) and we had adventures (of course) but I have taken y’all on many trips with me and I don’t want the recaps around here to start getting stale.

Where Did We Stay?
The Parc 55. I consider this a FAIL. It was a gorgeous hotel, definitely a modern hip vibe and SUPER close to the Powell St BART station which made getting there a dream but the walls and windows were super duper thin. Even from our 21st floor view room, we could hear street noise (as in people talking and yelling), sirens and even the elevators going all night long. I probably got a grand total of 4 hours of sleep the whole time we were there. Bummer.

What Did We Eat?
You know how I love my food :) We started off at Scala’s where I had the Pear Gorgonzola Pizza and Will’s had the Oricchette with Sausage. We also had an appetizer of Pommes Fritte with Cracked Black Pepper Aioli. For dessert we had Fennel Gelato. Saturday morning we got up and started our day in line at Sear’s Fine Foods for their “famous” pancakes. I opted for the Sourdough French Toast instead. Even small, I felt 18 pancakes were too much for me; Wills, however, was up for that challenge. Lunch this day was at Crown and Crumpet in Ghiradelli Square. I had Crumpets with Bacon, Avocado and Brie and Wills had Sausage Rolls with Hot Mustard. Dinner was Roxanne Cafe, where I had a large mixed green salad and Wills had some sort of pasta (sorry I don’t remember exactly I drank that night). Sunday we got up and headed for Fisherman’s Wharf where we hit up Boudin for their Sourdough Bread Bowl Soups: Clam Chowder for Wills and Tomato for me. Dinner that night, our final night, was at Lori’s. Wills LOVES a diner and he was very excited about the decor of Lori’s. Grilled Cheese and Onion Rings for me and Patty Melt for Wills. I also have to mention that my tummy issues are apparently really affected by my morning glass of Superfood so we had to track some down at Walgreen’s.

What Did We Do?
Just about every touristy thing that we hoped to do, with a couple of exceptions. We bought a Muni passport so we could ride the cable car as much as we wanted and after climbing the hill to Lombard from Ghiradelli? That was the best purchase ever made, we were on that thing constantly. Obvs we saw Lombard St and Ghiradelli Sq. We did Alcatraz and Fisherman’s Wharf. We did Pier 39 and the cute but smelly sea lions. We did Union Sq and Chinatown. We saw Golden Gate and The Bay Bridge (multiple times). We did The Tonga Room and some other theme bars* (apparently we were in the scene! go cool friends!). We did not make it to Haight or Muir Woods.

What Did We Buy?
Y’all. I didn’t even GO into H&M. In fact, the only store (other than to get Sprog a t-shirt) we walked into was The Whiskey Shop. That’s right. I went to San Francisco and I bought a bottle of hootch. As I type a bottle of Glenmorangie Lasanta is being shipped across the country to my doorstep and I can’t wait to have the little beauty home.

Sounds like you had a great time!

I’ve stayed at the Parc 55 many, many times and have never noticed that. But I sleep through fire alarms. Also, I’m usually pretty wasted when I’m staying there.

I'm a 30-something mother of 1 boy and 3 large fur-babies, with an unhealthy addiction to fashion, decorating, shoes, photography, music and the internets. I blather on more in the "about me" section and well, in every blog post, that after all is the nature of the beast, is it not?
